'The Evolving 9th Hour'' new single 'The Last Game of Summertime' is only partly a modern 'folk song about Cricket'... (with 'live' production and a focus on 'feel') ...as often happens though with the project, the track morphs into something more unusual, in this case a dreamlike world, that embraces an incoming autumn atmosphere of childhood dreams, Captain Tom and a cricketer leaving the ground for the last time...

'The Evolving 9th Hour' a project created by Simon Horsefield a musician who has recorded multiple John Peel sessions, tracks for Mark E Smith' Cog sinister label and even taught a young Lily Allen guitar. The project is now getting airplay (some national, see list below) and very positive reviews from stations and respected musical commentators with 6 interviews on BBC Radio Essex.

No fake hyped 'likes' and expensive promotion. 'The Evolving 9th Hour' is about independent expression and appeals to those who respected the spirit of 'John Peel' in his hay-day, side stepping the nonsense and looking to evolve into a better version of itself from release to release...
